Online: Pronunciation Workshop

In this practical workshop for teachers, Carol Gonçalves and Ricardo Barros will cover the theory behind some key areas of pronunciation to better equip teachers to deal with it in the classroom.

They will tackle topics such as what to prioritize when teaching pronunciation, how ELF (English as a Lingua Franca) has informed the teaching of pronunciation, how to carry out both short pronunciation activities and full-fledged pronunciation lessons, as well as the similarities and differences between Portuguese and English pronunciation.

This exploration of theory will be intertwined with practical activities that teachers will be able to take to their own classrooms in order to help their students with pronunciation.
